LaFell caught 6-of-10 targets for 119 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 41-14 loss to the Chiefs. With both Kenbrell Thompkins and Aaron Dobson inactive, LaFell played most of the offensive snaps. He took a short slant for a 44-yard touchdown in the third quarter, breaking a pair of tackles to provide New England's only real highlight. He later added a 37-yard gain from Jimmy Garoppolo in garbage time, but all of the other receptions came from Tom Brady's hand. Even if he sticks ahead of Thompkins and Dobson, LaFell will be no better than the third or fourth option in a passing game that hasn't looked good.
