Smith caught seven passes for 118 yards and a touchdown on 15 targets in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Bengals. Though he hauled in an 80-yard, go-ahead touchdown on a third-and-14 in the fourth quarter, Smith was otherwise unimpressive in his Ravens debut. He dropped a pair of passes, and his other 14 targets resulted in just six catches for 38 yards. He also should have drawn a flag on the touchdown, as he threw cornerback Adam Jones to the ground via facemask. In any case, it was still an encouraging performance for the 35-year-old's fantasy owners, as the elder Smith drew 15 targets on Joe Flacco's 62 pass attempts, compared to just seven for Torrey Smith. On a less encouraging note, the Ravens subbed out their starting receivers with surprising frequency, sometimes using Kamar Aiken, Marlon Brown and/or Jacoby Jones in two-wide sets. Next up for Smith is a Thursday matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Besides his 80 yard/take the lead/BEAST mode TD, Smith was unimpressive in his debut. This guy must be either a Bucs fan or a Saint's fan. Sounds all butt hurt cause Smith beat that ass up for over a decade. ICE UP SON!!!

Um did you not read Joe Flaccos report, HE sucked as well. But Smith still has great playmaking ability. He shoved a guy on the ground, made that guy look like a cheerleader lol Smith will be great again, even this game he made a great and unusual impact. How many other guys can do what he did on that TD?? You either date the guy who wrote this, or absolutely hate the fact that if you take away that play he was pedestrian...but the CB who had to explain to his son why that man pushed him down, he would agree with me

Im a Smith fan btw, I hate that his old coaches threw him under the bus. Im glad he pooped on thier post waiver comments by making a play to prove he is still the same guy.

Well, i'm not dating him. He's married to beautiful, Angie Smith. If you don't know about them as a couple, you should google it. That is if you google everything, like me, lol. I'm just a big Smith Fan, that's all. I've owned him through broken legs, feet etc. Looking at the play now, looks like a flag should have been thrown. He's certainly made me scratch my head over the years but, I still love his style of play!

Smith and Pitta are the focal points of that offense. Torrey will get his deep plays, but especially in ppr or half ppr leagues, you can be Steve is going to get things DONE. Especially now that Rice is gone, the offense will move through this man.
