Osgood was released by the 49ers over the weekend, but will return to the team once defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey (biceps) is placed on the injured reserve/designated for return list. While Osgood's official position designation is wide receiver, he boasts merely 45 career receptions, making him of fantasy little value. Nonetheless, Osgood has been named to the Pro Bowl three times for his expertise on special teams, where he figures to continue as one of the league's premier kick coverage men this season.
