Bowe (finger) has been suspended for one game and will miss the Chiefs' season opener against the Titans, ESPN.com reports. The report notes that the suspension stems from a Nov. 10, 2013 incident in which the wideout was pulled over in Riverside, Mo., for speeding and possession of marijuana.
Bowe, who has been hampered in training camp by a finger issue, will thus be eligible to return to action in Week 2 against the Broncos, at which time, he should resume his starting wideout duties for the Chiefs. In the team's opener, NFL.com suggests that Junior Hemingway is a candidate to start opposite Donnie Avery in Bowe's place.
