Ryan completed all seven of his pass attempts for 53 yards in Friday's preseason opener against the Dolphins, leading his team to a touchdown on his only drive. Working sans Julio Jones (foot), Ryan hooked up with Roddy White four times. Though he'll be without Tony Gonzalez this season, Ryan should have an improved offensive line, and most important of all a healthy Jones. By all accounts, Jones will be fine for the regular season, even though he's been taking it easy in practice. Ryan will also have White back at full strength, after the long-time Falcon was limited by a nagging ankle injury for most of last season. Looking to the other side of the ball, Atlanta's defense has the potential to be much improved from last season, but probably won't be good enough to keep the team in many run-first situations.
