Chargers released OLB Larry English. English was the 16th overall pick in the 2009 draft and is not subject to waivers. The 28-year-old has missed 28 games over the past four seasons mostly due to right foot problems. He has 11 career sacks across 52 career games, but has never accumulated more than three in a season. English's roster spot has been in jeopardy the past couple years, and GM Tom Telesco finally cut the cord. He should be able to latch on with another team for the summer.
