Browns RB Ben Tate said he does not see third-round pick Terrance West as a threat to his job. "I'm not worried about that because I know when I'm on my game," Tate said, "there's no one that can really touch me or that's close to what I do." Tate probably is the best running back on the team when healthy, but the when healthy part has always been a problem. He has missed 24 games through his four-year career, and he ceded first-team carries to West during minicamp because he was "a little nicked up." Tate is the starter right now, but he will have to stay healthy to hold off the oncoming freight train named Terrance West.

I don't see him having any issues if he stays healthy...but we all know that isn't happening lol.

The 24 games is misleading.

He missed all 16 of the 2010 season with a broken ankle.

2011 saw 15 games played. In 2012 he played in 11 games, while in 2013 he played in 14 games, more than a few with broken or bruised ribs.

Regardless, he has been injured every year.

to miss a game or two in the season is fairly common for a RB. so take out the broken ankle and the games missed is nothing to write home about.

I would agree I think he'll play a lot this year. The guy played with broken ribs last year and his contract has all the incentives he needs to suit up for every game.

To miss a game or 2 when you are the starter, yes. Not like he's had a HUGE workload. I like him personally, but I don't see him lasting the year. I think West will be starting at some point.
