49ers acquired WR Stevie Johnson from the Bills in exchange for a 2015 fourth-round pick. Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the pick can improve to a third-round pick, likely based on Johnson's 2014 performance. Buffalo did well to acquire a fairly valuable future pick in exchange for a receiver entering year three of a five-year, $37 million contract. Johnson, 28 in July, finished 2013 with 52 catches for 597 yards and three touchdowns, playing in 12 games. He's a short to intermediate slot-receiver type, with a somewhat similar skill set to both Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin. San Francisco still needs a true vertical stretcher in the wideout corps, and we suspect they'll draft one tonight or tomorrow. Johnson's fantasy value won't be resuscitated as a role player with the Niners, but it's a productive move for their offense.

The 49ers got Stevie in exchange for a draft pick, that they ended up getting back anyway. Plus Stevie Johnson is a decent receiver that just needs a good QB,good trade for San Fran.
