The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports the Saints are undecided on whether to pick up Mark Ingram's fifth-year option for 2015. Ingram would cost $5.2 million in 2015, so New Orleans would be better suited to work out a long-term deal. Still just 24, Ingram has averaged 4.1 yards per carry through his first three seasons. The Saints have until May 3 to make a decision.

I can't imagine them picking it up at that price tag with his performance so far.

I agree, he's shown promise, but not enough for that kind of money

I Think it depends on khiry Robinson and what team thinks of him.Its too hard to tell with so many changes to offence.Running backs are cheap, Ben Tate got paid less than 5 million.50/50 they keep him for year 5

Also Jimmy has to get paid!!!Hes gone after this year.

Not only that, but the fact that there were MANY better RB's that got paid a lot less than that this offseason. He'll hit the market, won't get much, but I could see him do better in a different offensive scheme.
