Coach Gus Bradley reiterated that the Jaguars are still unsure of Justin Blackmon's availability for this season. Blackmon is currently serving an indefinite suspension for his third violation of the league's substance abuse policy. He will be able to petition commissioner Roger Goodell for reinstatement before the season begins, but no one seems to have any idea if he'll be successful. Bradley said the Jags are preparing for the season as if they won't have Blackmon.

In his first two games of the season, Blackmon went insane for 19 catches and 326 yards. Only Kenny Britt has been a bigger tragedy in recent memory. Will be interesting to see what happens with this guy, especially when the NFL has a similar 'redemption' story going currently with Josh Gordon. Then again, Mr. Blackmon has messed up a couple more times than Flash...

My dynasty team is seriously in need of his reinstatement lol. Snagged him as a trade throw in week 3, and for a couple weeks I thought I had a future superstar. Still keeping up hope!

Yeah I traded for him and Percy Harvin midseason. Giving away Zac Stacy and Kendall Wright seemed like a solid move at the time...

I honestly can say it going to be something like: 8 games plus mandatory rehab. Yeah, he is a dope head but we all know to well, it's the norm.

Another eight games would make it about a full season total, so that sounds realistic. Maybe they'll pull it back to 4-6 if he demonstrates to Goodell that he is trying to get his act together.

Silver lining here is that it throws open the door for Cecil Shorts to have a sneakily good start to the season. He'll see double-digit targets frequently until Blackmon shows up, if he does at all.
