The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the Eagles and free agent Riley Cooper are close to agreeing to a new contract. Per beat writer Jeff McLane, the deal could be finalized and announced within the next few days. In addition to this, McLane adds that the Eagles are expected to sign free agent Jeremy Maclin to a new one-year, "show me" contract. With the start of free agency 13 days away, GM Howie Roseman has been opening up the checkbook. LT Jason Peters inked a four-year extension Wednesday. C Jason Kelce isn't far behind.
