DeMarco Murray triggered an escalator in his rookie contract, raising his 2014 base salary from $755,469 to $1.389 million. Murray, the 71st pick in the 2011 draft, received the bump in pay because he played at least 35 percent of the offensive snaps in his first three seasons. Entering the final year of his rookie deal, Murray isn't expected to receive a contract extension before the season. He turned 26 on Wednesday and will have to prove he can stay healthy like he did for much of the 2013 campaign.
