Danny Woodhead rushed 15 times for 54 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 14 yards in the Chargers' Wild Card win. Committed to a run-heavy game plan, the Chargers mixed and matched tailbacks Ryan Mathews, Woodhead, and Ronnie Brown early in Sunday's game. Woodhead got a goal-line carry toward the end of the first frame, executing from five yards out to give San Diego an early 7-0 lead. When Mathews re-tweaked a preexisting ankle injury in the third quarter, Woodhead took over as San Diego's primary back and performed more than capably, dodging defenders and squirting through small spaces. Expect fewer touches from Woodhead if Mathews is available for next week's Divisional Round matchup with the Broncos.
