Falcons DT Corey Peters (Achilles' surgery) is facing 6-8 months of rehab. Peters blew out his heel during the Monday night loss at San Francisco. It's atrocious timing as he'll be an unrestricted free agent in March. "The rehabilitation time on an Achilles is going to put us close to the start of next season, so he's going to have to get it going and hit it," coach Mike Smith said. Peters' fourth NFL season ends with career-highs in tackles (46) and sacks (5).
