Joel Dreessen caught two passes for 19 yards and a touchdown in Denver's Week 8 win over the Redskins.
Dreessen was only in the ballgame because Julius Thomas departed with an ankle issue. Dreessen entered Week 8 with one catch on the season, and won't be on the fantasy radar even if Thomas is unavailable for Week 9.
At least Dreessen can actually block and pass-protect like a proper in-line TE, unlike Orange Julius. With Orlando Franklin now even more gimped and Clady gone, imo the Broncos should be keeping their in-line TE back to pass-protect; Manning is already far more banged up than he should be, and there's still a ton of season left.
The Broncos can still destroy on offense just fine with 'only' DT, Decker, and Welker. Julius Thomas' addition to the pass-catching corp is nice, but ultimately not worth it overall if it means two or three more hits on Manning every game.

Thomas will definitely be unavailable week 9. Broncos are on a bye.
