Alshon Jeffery had the best game of his young career in Chicago's Week 4 loss to the Lions, catching five passes for 107 yards and a touchdown. He also added 27 yards on a rush. The 100-yard afternoon was the first of Jeffery's career, and featured 2-3 tough catches. He flashed extremely strong hands on his 14-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The only blemish was the fact that Jeffery was Jay Cutler's intended target on two of his three interceptions, but neither pick was Jeffery's fault. With 12 catches for 158 yards over his past two games, Jeffery is now on pace for a 72/844/4 line. He's in the WR3 conversation.

so glad i have this guy on my bench. he'd be a number one WR on about 10 different teams.

Love his talent, but Jeffery will be held back by Cutler. Cutler just isn't good enough to make two receivers consistently productive in fantasy.

I fear Jeffery will be boom or bust all year, with more busts than booms. And it won't be his fault.

yeah its nice keeping him tucked away from other teams! i agree cutlers weak sauce, but its hard to miss a guy this big, plus i think the coordinator will build on the reality that he has to get jeffrey involved anyway possible while marshall faces teams top dbacks

Didn't Eddie Royal and Brandon Marshall both have 1,000 yard receiving seasons with Cutler in Denver one year?

cutler threw for 4500 yards that season... hes never matching that again, not with this elite D. It's just hard for Jeffrey to be anything but a boom or bust guy (Devery Henderson) because there are going to be games where Forte and bennett go off. I guess i'll bench him as a backup in case my WR Brandon Marshall gets hurt. Wr handcuff? sure...why not.

Been a long time since 2008, mikalika. That was back when people still thought Cutler might become elite. Feels like ancient history now.
