Alex Smith completed 24-of-41 passes for a season-high 288 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's Week 4 win over the Giants. Armed with a clean pocket all day long, Smith picked and dinked his way to a highly productive fantasy day. When he couldn't find anyone open, he quickly tucked and ran for 37 yards and seven scrambles. Smith is now on pace to go 352-of-584 (60.2 percent) for 3,828 yards with 28 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Similar to his San Francisco days, it's the kind of line that wins real football games and provides no upside in fantasy. Smith will remain low-end QB2 for a difficult matchup at Tennessee next week.

In my league Smith is the #7 QB and the #19 fantasy player overall. That is a QB1 in my book. But oh well I keep letting this sleeper sleep.

He's my backup QB to Russell Wilson. Do I dare start him over Wilson?
