Bills FS Jim Leonhard practiced with the first-team defense Wednesday. Leonhard was just signed on Monday and is already listed ahead of rookies Jonathan Meeks and Duke Williams. If Jairus Byrd (foot) is ruled out for Week 1, Leonhard will draw the start in his absence. The Bills only other option would be moving Aaron Williams to free safety.
