The Bills' website mentions April trade acquisition Jerry Hughes as a candidate to start at right defensive end following Mark Anderson's release. Manny Lawson is also mentioned, although he's more of a strong-side linebacker. The "right end" position in new coordinator Mike Pettine's scheme is actually an end-'backer type role, and will line up opposite LE Mario Williams. The Bills will likely continue to struggle to generate consistent pass rush this year, which will necessitate blitzing. Pettine is a Rex Ryan disciple.
