Jamarca Sanford is expected to be the Vikings' starting strong safety in Sunday's opener. Sanford, a 2009 seventh-round pick, has apparently beaten out 2008 second-rounder Tyrell Johnson. He'll face a stiff test right out of the gate with the Vikings set to take on Philip Rivers and the Chargers. We wouldn't be surprised to see both players make starts at strong safety this season.
