The Lions will host K David Akers for a free-agent visit next week. Perhaps Detroit is using the Akers visit to put pressure on fellow free agent Jason Hanson, whom the Lions would much prefer to re-sign. Hanson went 32-of-36 (89 percent) on field goals last year. Akers went 29 for 42 (69 percent).
