The Charlotte Observer's Joe Person says the Panthers "will cut" NT Ron Edwards. Carolina is currently around $9 million over the cap, and releasing Edwards would clear about $2.5 million. The Panthers want to re-sign Dwan Edwards, and they will look to replace Ron through either the draft or free agency.
