The San Francisco Chronicle believes Carson Palmer remains one of the "core players" for the Raiders in 2013. The Raiders may ask Palmer to restructure his $13 million salary, but the salary cap implications are too severe to cut him outright. While Terrelle Pryor showed promise in the season finale, he's not ready to take over as the starter. Palmer will be back as the NFL's garbage-time and pick-six master next season.
