CSN Bay Area's Paul Gutierrez reports a Monday CT scan revealed that Carson Palmer has cracked ribs and bruised lung after Sunday's mammoth blow to the back from Panthers RE Greg Hardy. Cracked ribs, plural. Palmer isn't going to play in Week 17. Matt Leinart will get the start, and Terrelle Pryor will be worked in as a package quarterback. The Raiders face the Chargers in their season finale. Palmer, who turns 33 in three days, is owed a non-guaranteed base salary of $13 million in 2013. While he is still capable of throwing the football at a high level, the Raiders don't have nearly enough pieces in place to turn him into a winning quarterback. His future with the organization is cloudy.

The idiot coaches should just let Pryor play. Leinart stinks. Mobile qb's are the big thing right now so why not give him a damn chance?

Probably because pryor sucks even worse than leinart. Now we have another Arizona in the league, give the skins a call. They have a great backup that they will trade for a 1st rounder or two.

haha that was Al Davis hopefully not this regime. And Pryor doesnt suck, he made Dallas look silly in pre-season, he just hasnt been given a shot. RG3, Cam, Kaepernick, all these read option runners are doin it while they are 20 21 yrs old, theres no reason after 2 full seasons for them not to at least see what he can do once vs San Diego.
