Rams rookie DT Michael Brockers (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 1. A Week 2 return had been Brockers' best-case scenario all along. UDFA Matt Conrath will also be inactive against Detroit with a knee injury, leaving uninspiring holdover Jermelle Cudjo to team up with recent waivers acquisition Kellen Heard next to Kendall Langford. Kevin Smith could be set up for a big game.
