Gipson (concussion) is active for Sunday's matchup with the Texans, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports. Gipson was able to log a bit of work in Friday's practice, which gave the team enough confidence to upgrade their safety to probable in advance of Week 11's game. The NFL's interception leader will look to take advantage of the fact that opposing quarterback Ryan Mallet will be starting his first game for the Texans.
