Sanchez completed 20-of-37 passes for 332 yards and two touchdowns in Monday's 45-21 win over the Panthers. Sanchez lost one yard on two carries, and the Eagles ran for just 37 yards as a team. No matter, the veteran signal-caller put up plenty of points, with a major assist from the Philadelphia defense and special teams. While not quite perfect, Sanchez made a number of difficult throws and showed surprising awareness in the pocket. He often looked in the direction of rookie Jordan Matthews, who caught 7-of-9 targets for 138 yards and a touchdown. Sanchez admittedly got to ease into things against a porous Carolina defense, but Monday's performance still seems like a sign of good things to come in the Eagles' well-designed offense. Of course, Sanchez will face a much bigger challenge next week, when he travels to Lambeau Field to face a Green Bay team that's excellent at defending the pass. The matchup favors LeSean McCoy and the running game, but the Eagles had nothing going on that front Monday night.

Sanchez or Wilson?

Samalicious Thu 11/13/14 3:37 PM

Are you not shocked that you are even asking this?

crazyeyedkiller Thu 11/13/14 7:05 PM

Yes. It's ridiculous that I'm probably going to sit Wilson for the eagles back up. But what choice do I have with Lynch getting every and all goal line carries and Wilson only throwing 10-12 times a game?

Samalicious Fri 11/14/14 9:52 AM

That's true, but what I meant was that aren't you shocked that you would have ever considered including Sanchez in a who should I start scenario? Like Week 1...did you ever foresee Mr. Butt Fumble would ever be mentioned here?

Psychobartho Tue 11/11/14 6:49 AM

The first time since 2011 that sanchez threw for over 330 yards and the 332 yards are in the top 5 of his nfl carrere.. never the less, he played a good game.

[Deleted User] Tue 11/11/14 8:01 AM

Yes he did. He only looked like a bad qb when he played for the freakin Jets and their horrible offense. Go figure.

GoatHoarder Tue 11/11/14 10:26 AM

he played good, obviously had some drops and missed some but that's to be expected. I was telling everybody in my league that Jordan Matthews is going to go off now and they all laughed. I took my 25ish points to the bank

Good for u GH! For me, Maclin pooped the bed:( Like you said, it's Matthews time now. Hopefully, Mac and Mat can share the wealth! For real though, as long as their winning, i'm cool!

GoatHoarder Tue 11/11/14 2:28 PM

mac will get his. but like chip said Carolina focused on McCoy and maclin leaving the tight ends and Matthews with mismatches. Like having a d-lineman cover Matthews on his second td (BRILLIANT)

Sanchez vs GB or Luck vs NE this week?

[Deleted User] Tue 11/11/14 3:31 PM

I don't see how you could keep Luck on your bench. Plus, Lambeau is a tough place to play. It may be a shootout type of game for Sanchez, but I still say Luck, all the way.

GoatHoarder Tue 11/11/14 4:27 PM

luck pack have a great pass defense

roccoscrew Tue 11/11/14 5:26 PM

Sanchez or wilson

Chris0004 Tue 11/11/14 5:35 PM

Sanchez or cam?? Help!!

reginald Wed 11/12/14 6:51 AM

Sanchez or Cam is a good question, I would lean towards Newton, Atlanta @home should be manageable. Even McCown made 21 points last week. The prob is their O-Line. I don`t think they will be as bad again as Monday night....but who knows ? Sanchez on the other hand plays a nice Pass-D @ their home stadium. To switch the Claymaker from OLB to MLB paid well against Chicago. They couldn't run as the first time in the season when they met and Cutler was forced to throw often and looked really bad. Same can happen to Sanchez when they do not keep the Packers-D honest and they do not get their running game going. As the Eagles are a Rival in the NFC for the Playoff Fight and as it will be a showing who`s the team to beat in the NFC, the Pack will be fired up. I'll go with Cam !

AguilasVerdes Wed 11/12/14 8:00 AM

Sanchez vs. Cam is not a good question; in fact, it is a no-brainer. And I have both. I waivered Sanchez after losing Foles and benched Cam last week. (I also waivered Sanchez after losing Foles in my other league last week and benched Brees). Cam is hurt, has no O and might have the worst supporting cast of players around him, regardless of what Jon Gruden may think. What is he thinking anyway? Or smoking? It is as if he has been castrated and now has to say something positive about everybody, including Cam. Can't offend anybody nowadays which is aka the pussification of America.

As it stands, Cam is dumb, cannot understand the playbook ... as is clearly illustrated by his cheat sheet on his waist, and does NOT do the prep work. In other words, he is lazy. And stupid. A winning combination for an NFL QB.

Did I mention he is hurt too? A lingering ankle issue from the preseason and also a rib issue. Can't run. Can't pass. I have eloquently and correctly labeled him the "ONE TRICK PONY". Because without his running ability, he is worthless. If the Panthers had any sense, they would run him into the ground. And then DRAFT a legit QB.

PS. Jordan Matthews had TWO TDs against CAR.

GoatHoarder Wed 11/12/14 8:16 AM

where was it mentioned that he had one?

[Deleted User] Wed 11/12/14 10:22 AM

I was thinking the same thing, but when I went back and read the article above I understood. These guys never fail to get things wrong. Don't people re-read what they write after they right it? Guess not.

GoatHoarder Wed 11/12/14 11:12 AM

lol I thought he was talking about the comment section. Yeah did not even notice that

BBeads Thu 11/13/14 3:38 AM

I've got Wilson, Newton and Sanchez in a 2 QB league and I'll be playing Newton and Sanchez this week. I could be drunk.

Chris0004 Thu 11/13/14 8:30 AM

Well thanks for the help, but I didn't get Sanchez of waivers my dbag friend got him....so cam it is

Chris0004 Thu 11/13/14 8:32 AM

Unless someone knows a sleeper crappy qb that has potential Im really not trusting cam bam right now....ugh

GoatHoarder Thu 11/13/14 8:42 AM
