Falcons placed LB Sean Weatherspoon on injured reserve with a torn Achilles' tendon, ending his season. Weatherspoon ruptured the Achilles' during an early-June OTA practice. The loss is massive for an Atlanta defense that was already hanging by a thread, and will now turn to some combination of Joplo Bartu and rookie Prince Shembo next to Paul Worrilow at inside linebacker. Weatherspoon turns 27 this December. He'll hit 2015 agency in rehab, and as a significant injury risk.
