ESPN Bengals reporter Coley Harvey guesses BenJarvus Green-Ellis will be cut before the season begins. Green-Ellis had a underwhelming 2013 campaign and looks to be surplus to requirements with rookie RB Jeremy Hill already running with the second-team offense in OTAs. Green-Ellis could be kept on as veteran insurance, but his roster spot will be hard to justify with $2.5 million in potential salary cap savings on the line. If cut, Green-Ellis would not struggle to find a new home. He still has something to offer as a steady, veteran back.

I have seen this exact same post over and over for the last 2 years. 2.5 mil is not terrible for a guy that can do his job an not put the ball on the ground.

agreed but would not be shocked if it happened. i expect it would happen next year, not this year. if they are going to a run heavy offense, they will need all the RB depth they have.
