Andre Roberts expressed a bit of frustration with the Redskins' signing of DeSean Jackson. Roberts agreed to terms with the Redskins on a four-year, $16 million deal before free agency even opened. He "envisioned being the No. 2 receiver," but now admits he doesn't "know how it's going to work out." New coach Jay Gruden is going to run a pass-happy offense, so Roberts will get his chances out of the slot. But his fantasy appeal is low. Roberts is, at best, the No. 4 option.

he has a job and is getting paid a nice check and is already throwing in the towel? sorry to crush your dreams, kid but if you went from the #2 option to the #4 option because of one guy signing then you where never a #2 option to begin with.

Watch some of these highlights (scroll down, then there's a flood of them), especially from 2012 when Roberts was actually getting consistent opportunities (as a no. 2 with a terrible QB and offense). The guy can play.

Your nick implies that you're a Skins fan... well, although I definitely expect the DeSean signing to ruin any of Roberts' fantasy potential (barring injuries to Garcon or DeSean), in terms of real-life winning football, I think by this time next year you're gonna be delighted that your favorite team has a guy as good as Roberts locked up as its no. 3 receiver for years to come.

P.S. Where do you see him saying that he's "throwing in the towel", or something to that effect? You shouldn't put words in his mouth. Roberts is a competitor for sure, if you watch his tape you'll see how hard he runs on every route, even when he knows he's not a likely read. All Roberts is saying here is that he probably would've chosen a different team if he knew DeSean Jackson would be signed later. But that's business.

i never said i was not happy to have him but make no mistake about it, Jackson is better. as for the throwing in the towel part; but now admits he doesn't "know how it's going to work out." sounds to me like he is kicking the dirt.
