Giants placed RB Brandon Jacobs on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season. Jacobs has carried the ball just 14 times since he toted it 22 times in Week 6 against the Bears. He's missed five of the Giants' past seven games and recently admitted that his knee is nowhere near 100 percent, adding that he'll need a clean-out procedure in the offseason. Jacobs can go ahead and get it now. In seven games with the Giants this season, Jacobs rushed for 238 yards and four touchdowns on 58 carries. He'll turn 32 next July. Jacobs' career may be finished. The Giants were the only team willing to sign him in 2013.
