Lions worked out free agent WRs Anthony Armstrong, Charles Hawkins and Lavelle Hawkins Tuesday. None of the trio were immediately signed, suggesting that the Lions are comfortable going to battle with Calvin Johnson, Patrick Edwards (ankle) and Ryan Broyles (knees) Sunday. Even if one of these three does get signed, they'd be playing an outside role for Detroit. They wouldn't affect slot man Ryan Broyles' potential production.
