Panthers placed S Haruki Nakamura (concussion) on injured reserve, ending his season. Nakamura had been running as the No. 3 safety throughout the preseason. He'll hit free agency next season and is unlikely to land anything more than a minimum deal. The Panthers have upgraded by signing Quintin Mikell.
