Seahawks released WR Mike Williams. Williams' release comes just four days after the Seattle Times postulated his roster spot was up in the air. Still rehabbing from a gruesome late-season leg injury, Williams was set to count $3.6 million against the cap after catching just 18 passes for 236 yards in 12 games in 2011. The move is good news for Ben Obomanu and Deon Butler, who now have one less body to compete with. Although Williams' 2010 comeback made for an excellent story, he should draw scant interest in free agency heading into his age-28 campaign.
