Colts released RB Joseph Addai. The team's Friday releases of Addai, MLB Gary Brackett, SS Melvin Bullitt, and TE Dallas Clark take the Colts off the hook for $14.83 million worth of 2012 base salaries. Per Brian McIntyre of Football Outsiders, however, the moves only save about $5 million in salary cap space. Addai can still pass protect and catch passes, but he lacks any hint of explosion in his lower body going on age 29. He's missed 12 games due to injury over the past two seasons.
