Williams agreed to a deal with the Browns on Monday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Williams will step in to fill the shoes of Buster Skrine, who signed a hefty four-year deal with the Jets earlier in free agency. With many already ready to label first-round draft pick Justin Gilbert a bust, the need for Cleveland to bolster their secondary was apparent, as they had little depth at corner outside of Pro Bowler Joe Haden. Williams only missed a single game during an eight-year stretch with Green Bay, over which he collected 465 combined tackles and 28 interceptions.
