DeVito agreed to a restructured one-year contract with the Chiefs for the 2015 season Monday, Adam Teicher of ESPN reports. DeVito lost most of the 2014 season due to a ruptured Achilles tendon, sending him to injured reserve. With more risk involved with him in 2015, the Chiefs were likely to release the defensive end if he didn't take a pay cut, as he would have cut $5.4 million out of the team's salary-cap money. He has decided to take the cut to remain with the team, and will instead only cost the Chiefs $2.9 million in 2015. Assuming he returns to his previous form, he could be in line to start next season.
