Thomas (shoulder) will undergo offseason surgery to repair a fully torn labrum, and he is expected to be out for six-to-eight months, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports. Thomas suffered the injury during the NFC Championship Game, and he opted to play through it in the Super Bowl. While it was known that he suffered a serious injury, it's surprising to learn just how severe the issue is. The recovery timeline of six-to-eight months casts doubt over Thomas' availability for training camp, but ESPN's Adam Schefter said the safety will be ready. Thomas, Kam Chancellor (knee) and Richard Sherman (shoulder) all played the Super Bowl with injuries that would typically sideline a player for an extended period of time. Slot corner Jeremy Lane suffered a broken arm during the game, and fellow cornerback Byron Maxwell is slated to become an unrestricted free agent. The Seattle secondary bears close watching this offseason.
