GM Doug Whaley and coach Rex Ryan have expressed a desire to keep Spiller - who will be a free agent this offseason - in the mix, BuffaloBills.com reports. Said Whaley, "We believe so and we're going to try to do our darndest to get this guy in the fold and get him back. I'm sure he's disappointed with how last year went with the injuries, but we want him to come back with us and get back to the form we know he can play at." Spiller's value on the open market could be all over the board, as he has a fantastic skill set, yet he's coming off one horrible season in 2014 and a mildly disappointing one in 2013. Plus, running backs continue to see devaluation in free agency. Should he return to Buffalo, Ryan and new offensive coordinator Greg Roman like to run, run, run, so it'd be intriguing if Spiller was given a chance to compete for the lead back role.

Does Ryan just go to teams with no QB... Didnt Orton just retire... Is E.J. Manuel the answer or is the future to be found in the draft
