Lions coach Jim Caldwell said Friday that Fairley (knee) is in a "practice-to-play" protocol, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official website reports. Caldwell previously said Fairley would need a miracle in order to suit up, but it now seems that the big defensive tackle is trending closer to questionable. Having last played in Week 8, Fairley may not be able to handle his usual role, even if he does make it back for Sunday's playoff game against the Cowboys.
