Davis was released by the Lions on Tuesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Davis was targeted just three times over three games in Detroit, and was deemed expendable in order to add offensive line depth. He'll look to find work elsewhere (if he clears waivers) in his age-28 season.
