The NFL Players Association sent a letter to the NFL on Friday, calling for Peterson's immediate reinstatement based on the agreement that placed him on the commissioner's exempt list in September, ESPN reports. "The big problem, one big problem, is that there is an internal battle with the Minnesota Vikings," Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports. "Some of their executives are divided on whether they want Adrian Paterson back immediately." Peterson reached a plea agreement Tuesday to resolve his criminal child abuse charges, pleading no contest to a misdemeanor charge of reckless assault. The NFL said after plea agreement that Peterson's case will now be reviewed for potential discipline under the league's personal conduct policy. However, the player's union feels that review will take too long with the NFL reportedly wanting Peterson to submit evidence and for independent experts to review it and make a recommendation. However, the player's union says Peterson should be eligible to play while under review like similar personal conduct cases. The one unknown is whether the Vikins ownership wants Peterson to play for the team again. Rapoport's report suggests that Peterson may suspended six games with some time credited for time served, which would mean he could return in December. However, the situation is in flux and we may know a better target early next week.

I don't believe that internal battle crap for 1 second. There has been so much bs reporting over this entire situation. Media keeps trying to make stories where there aren't any.

Here's the deal - the players union is backing AP - That's huge. Unless Goodell wants to end up in court again and a potential lawsuit filed in a grievance he will be reinstated while all this review crap occurs - The Vikes Brass is another story - if they don't want him to play this season they could designate him on the IR for the rest of the year and just pay him for not suiting up. . . but there would be a player and fan backlash to that as well . . .Stay tuned - I'm keeping him on my roster till it's confirmed he's not coming back this season . . .
