Cook was released by the Pistons on Monday, MLive's David Mayo reports. The veteran big man may struggle to find any kind of role on an NBA team this season.

Cook signed a training camp deal with the Pistons. The veteran has not played in the NBA since the 2011-12 season, but he'll have an outside shot to make the roster in camp. Last season, Cook spent training camp with the Jazz but was waived prior to the regular season.

Brian Cook hit 6-of-14 shots and three 3-pointers for 18 points, five rebounds, two assists and a block in Tuesday's loss. Cook is just trying to make the team and get into the rotation, so don't pay much attention to his big line tonight.

The Jazz added Brian Cook to their training camp squad. The former Illinois forward was cut by the Wizards following training camp last year. He spent the spring playing in Puerto Rico. The Jazz now have 17 players on their training camp roster.

Wizards waive Brian Cook. Cook was brought into training camp on a make-good contract, but there was too much competition for the veteran forward. He may have a hard time finding a deal in the NBA, since the Wizards were the only team interested in him this summer.

The Wizards and Brian Cook have agreed to a non-guaranteed deal, according to Michael Lee of the Washington Post. Cook is the 18th player on the roster and the Wizards are as deep as they've been in quite some time. While he has some nice range for a 6'9" forward, Cook will turn 32 this year and is off the fantasy radar.

Brian Cook has received a training camp invite from the Wizards, two sources tell the Washington Post. Cook has received no interest on the open market, and the Wizards "hope to hear back from Cook by next week." He will have no fantasy value.

Brian Cook is not looking to be bought out of his contract. Agent Mark Bartelstein said Cook has no plans to pursue a buyout by Friday's deadline and said Cook likes being on the Wizards. There was some chatter that Cook would be bought out, but he'll likely stick with the Wizards for the remainder of the season.
