Pondexter (coach's decision) didn't see the floor Sunday in the Spurs' 103-95 loss to the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
Pondexter has found himself outside of the rotation essentially the entire season and doesn't have much hope of finding minutes with the team at full strength minus Dejounte Murray (knee), who has been sidelined since October. The 30-year-old forward hasn't seen action in any of the past three contests and hasn't left the bench in nine of the past 15 games.

Pondexter pitched in three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three rebounds, and two assists in nine minutes during Tuesday's 111-86 win over the Suns.
EDGE Analysis
Pondexter continues to see some action every now and then. However, he has only earned double-digit minutes seven times this season without reaching 20 minutes once through 23 appearances. Pondexter is behind too many players on the depth chart to warrant much attention even in the deepest leagues.

Pondexter signed a one-year contract with the Spurs on Monday, Chris Haynes of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Monday's retirement announcement of future Hall of Famer Manu Ginobili, the Spurs found themselves with another open roster spot heading into training camp. That allowed the team to offer Pondexter a one-year deal, which according to Michael Scotto of The Athletic, is only partially guaranteed. After missing two full seasons due to three separate knee surgeries, Pondexter returned to the NBA during the 2017-18 campaign, but wound up playing in just 23 games for the Bulls before getting cut in February. He finished with averages of just 2.0 points and 1.2 rebounds across 8.5 minutes. If Pondexter does in fact make the final regular-season roster, he'll slot in as depth on the wing. That said, he's highly unlikely to find enough minutes to be fantasy relevant.

Pondexter will be released by the Bulls, Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the Bulls taking on three contracts in exchange for Nikola Mirotic on Thursday, they'll release Pondexter in order to create the necessary roster space. Pondexter has hardly been a featured member of the Bulls' rotation this season after returning from a knee injury that caused a lengthy absence, and he will now be on the open market with the ability to sign on with another team.

Pondexter will come off the bench for Friday's game against the Hornets while Denzel Valentine draws the start, Chuck Swirsky of the Bulls Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pondexter saw 21 minutes during the team's most recent game while Justin Holiday (personal) was out. With Holiday returning, Pondexter head back to the bench, however. On the year, he's posting 4.3 points across 12.1 minutes per game.

Pondexter will draw the start at small forward over Paul Zipser for Wednesday's game against the Thunder, Vincent Goodwill of NBC Sports Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pondexter has had a limited role over his past five appearances, posting 2.4 points across 7.6 minutes per game. However, with Justin Holiday (personal) out Wednesday, coach Fred Hoiberg has switched things up, opting to give Pondexter the nod at small forward over Paul Zipser. Through the team's first five games, Pondexter averaged 6.8 points and 2.8 rebounds across 15.5 minutes per game -- a role that may be more indicative of what we could see Wednesday.

Pondexter went scoreless (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) in six minutes during Wednesday's 97-91 loss to the Heat.
EDGE Analysis
Pondexter has made an incredible journey back to the basketball court amid serious health concerns, but he's not a very trustworthy option in fantasy. With that being said, Pondexter is averaging 5.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.4 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 14.2 minutes through five appearances -- and he is yet to get it going from beyond the arc (one-for-12), so his numbers could improve over time if he starts earning more minutes.

Pondexter (hamstring) has been cleared for Thursday's regular-season opener against the Raptors, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Fred Hoiberg said that Pondexter is available if needed, so that doesn't necessarily guarantee he'll see the court. Still, with both Nikola Mirotic (face) and Bobby Portis (suspension) facing extended absences, the Bulls could certainly use the added depth in the frontcourt from Pondexter, so he could get some added run if the hamstring injury doesn't flare up.

Pondexter (hamstring) "should be" ready to play Thursday, Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though it hasn't yet been confirmed, it appears Pondexter is recovering from his left hamstring strain well. With both Nikola Mirotic (face) and Bobby Portis (suspension) out for an extended period, Pondexter could end up seeing significant run at small forward while the team figures out a rotation.

Pondexter (hamstring) will not play in Friday's preseason finale against the Raptors, Chuck Swirsky of the Bulls Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
A strained left hamstring will keep Pondexter off the floor once again, and the swingman will officially miss the entire preseason. There's been no word of Pondexter returning to practice in any capacity, but that's possibly because the team wants to remain cautious given his injury history. Consider Pondexter questionable-at-best to play in next week's season opener in Toronto.
