Paul Millsap PF ATL 3 Days

Paul Millsap rested on Wednesday, but all indications are that he's ready to go for the playoffs.

He's dealing with a sore thumb, but it will take a lot more than that to keep him out of the postseason. If you're in a playoff league, draft him as you normally would.

Paul Millsap is expected to rest on Wednesday night against the Bucks, while the rest of the Hawks should be "available."

Mike Scott looks like a good bet for success tonight, but while guys like Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver and Pero Antic are available, that doesn't mean they'll play heavy minutes. Be careful when selecting Hawks in daily lineups.

Paul Millsap (rest) will not play vs. the Bobcats on Monday, and Mike Scott will take his place in the starting lineup.

The Hawks are also resting Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll in their penultimate game of the regular season. That leaves them with a starting lineup of Jeff Teague, Lou Williams, Cartier Martin, Mike Scott and Pero Antic, but this arrangement will end abruptly unless key starters are rested again on Wednesday.

The Hawks may rest some starters for Monday's game vs. the Bobcats, according to beat writer Chris Vivlamore.

Although "early indications" point to some precautionary DNPs, we'll have to await updates before knowing any of the details. Paul Millsap, DeMarre Carroll, Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver and Pero Antic are all potential candidates for rest.

Paul Millsap scored 27 points on 10-of-19 shooting with 10 rebounds, one steal and two blocks in the Hawks' win over the Nets on Friday.

Millsap has been on cruise control for the most part since Al Horford went down and is going to finish up in the top-20. The Hawks' magic number is down to one with the win and they still have three games to play. Jeff Teague added 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting (8-of-8 FTs) with three assists, one steal and one block, and Kyle Korver couldn't find the range with three points on 1-of-8 shooting (no treys), seven boards and a block in the win.

Paul Millsap powered through a thumb injury and had 24 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block on 10-of-19 shooting, but the Hawks lost to the Pistons on Tuesday.

The Knicks are still alive and will battle the Hawks to the wire for the final playoff spot in the East. As far as fantasy goes, the Hawks pretty much came through. Pero Antic had 13 points, nine rebounds and two 3-pointers, DeMarre Carroll had eight points, nine rebounds and a full stat line, Jeff Teague had 15 points and nine dimes, and Kyle Korver had 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and four 3-pointers tonight.

Paul Millsap will start against the Pistons on Tuesday, despite his sore thumb.

So far, so good for Millsap and his bruised right thumb, but owners will have to tread carefully and hope the thumb doesn't take any direct hits tonight.

Paul Millsap wore a wrap on his injured right thumb in Tuesday's shootaround, but wore a starter's jersey.

It sounds like all-systems go for Millsap tonight against the Pistons. Make sure he's in your lineup, and watch for further updates in case he suffers a setback before game time.

The Hawks aren't practicing on Monday so there will be no updates on Paul Millsap (bruised thumb) and Lou Williams (hamstring) until Tuesday's shootaround.

Millsap returned to Sunday's game after having his thumb wrapped so presumably he'll be active vs. the Pistons, but we won't know for sure until he gets back on the court on Tuesday.

Paul Millsap scored a team-high 22 points vs. the Bulls during a 105-92 loss with 11 boards, three assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

There aren't many players who can do what Millsap can do on the stat sheet thanks to his season averages 1.1 triples, 1.1 blocks and 1.8 steals. In fact, he's the only player in the NBA with to have season averages above 1.0 in each of those three categories. He's having a great year in his first season with the Hawks.
