Tracy McGrady made his second minor league start and went 2.2 innings on Thursday, allowing no runs, one hit and four walks. He didn't strike anyone out and only threw 28 of his 58 pitches for strikes. McGrady took the loss in his 1.2 innings during his debut on May 10 while walking two and giving up a homer, so it would appear he has a better chance of making it back in the NBA than getting to the majors. Yes, we're reaching for news a bit here with the NBA playoffs on hold until Saturday.

Former NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady has taken up baseball and has signed on to pitch for the Sugar Land Skeeters in the independent Atlantic League. McGrady spent 16 years in the NBA before retiring in 2012. He had contemplated playing in China but ultimately decided on baseball. The 34-year-old made his first scrimmage game appearance against Alvin Community College on April 16. In an inning of work, McGrady allowed one run on three hits with no walks and no strikeouts.

Tracy McGrady again hinted he is contemplating playing basketball in China. "I have a lot of fans over there so we'll see," he said. Since his NBA retirement in late August there have been a slew of rumors that McGrady may join the CBA.

Tracy McGrady is "highly likely" sign with the Chinese team Sichuan Jinqiang Whale, assuming the team is admitted to the CBA this season. T-Mac has had success in the CBA and he's hugely popular after playing alongside Yao Ming for years. His "demand of an annual salary of at least $2 million" seems to have scared off a few potential suitors in China, but at least one team might be willing to extend his playing career.

Tracy McGrady hinted that he could continue his professional basketball career in China. The seven-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA first-teamer and two-time scoring champ retired from the NBA on Monday. But he has a history with the Chinese league, where he averaged 25.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game before joining the Spurs late last year. T-Mac turned 34 years old in May.

Tracy McGrady said he's retiring from the NBA on Monday. "It's been 16 years playing the game I love. I've had a great run, but it's time for it to come to an end," McGrady said. The Spurs signed him for their postseason run, but he did not see any playing time. He's a seven-time All Star and won the league's scoring title in 2002-03. T-Mac could end up continuing his career overseas.

Tracy McGrady wrote on Saturday that he'll soon decide whether to return to the Chinese Basketball Association or the NBA. T-Mac made six cameos with the Spurs in the playoffs last season, but it's doubtful whether an NBA team would give him a guaranteed deal at this stage of his career. In his first CBA season he averaged a healthy 25.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.

Tracy McGrady may return to play in the China Basketball Association this season. "For those who have played years in NBA and still want to prolong their career like me, CBA is a great alternative," said McGrady. He served as emergency depth during the Spurs' playoff run last year and is unlikely to find another guaranteed deal in the NBA, but it doesn't sound like he's ready to retire.

Tracy McGrady will consider retirement after the NBA Finals. It's hardly a surprise. T-Mac spent the season in China before being brought in as an insurance policy by the Spurs. We expect this will be his last season in the NBA.

Tracy McGrady played five minutes, missed his only shot and failed to score in Sunday's Game 4, and will finally advance to Round 2 of the playoffs for the first time in his career after the Spurs easily swept the lifeless and injured Lakers. He made his Spurs debut tonight in garbage time, but it's hard to imagine him having much of an impact for the Spurs this postseason.
