Jones is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Heat with an illness.
EDGE Analysis
Though the Pelicans roster has been at close to full strength the last few games with multiple players returning from injury, Jones has been able to maintain a prominent role off the bench, thanks largely to his productive play. He's averaging 14.6 points (on 49.2% shooting), 6.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 blocks in 27.2 minutes per game over his last five contests, picking up two double-doubles along the way. The illness comes at an inconvenient time with Jones' performance trending up, but if he's able to shake it off prior to Friday's tip off, he'd likely be in line for another large workload with the second unit. Dante Cunningham and Solomon Hill would presumably pick up more run if Jones ends up getting ruled out Friday.

Jones scored 17 points (6-14 FG, 5-8 FT) while adding 10 rebounds and three assists in 30 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 108-93 win over the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
It's his third double-double of the season, but two of them have come in the last four games. Jones' minutes and production are streaky, but he's on the upswing at the moment, averaging 12.0 points, 8.2 boards and 1.4 blocks over the last five games.

Jones put up 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 FT), 11 rebounds, an assist, a steal and two blocks in a 102-95 win over Indiana on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Jones was an absolute bully in the paint against the Pacers. He worked his tail off to get inside position on Indiana's bigs, and snatched huge rebounds on both sides of the floor. Heck, he even costed his team a possession by trying to snag a board out of teammate Alexis Ajinca's hands. The ball ricocheted off of both Pelicans' hands, and Ajinca looked dumbfounded that Jones wouldn't just let him have the ball. On the very next play, when Indiana fired another miss? Jones did the exact same thing, only this time he held on.

Jones came off the bench and produced six points (2-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one block across 25 minutes in Sunday's 120-119 overtime win over the Suns.
EDGE Analysis
Jones had started at power forward in Saturday's blowout loss to the Clippers and supplied 18 points and five rebounds in 26 minutes, but with Anthony Davis rejoining the lineup Sunday after a one-game rest, the fifth-year player settled back into his customary reserve role. While Jones still saw similar playing time as he did Saturday, his fantasy upside will remain lower in games where Davis is available, by virtue of Davis dominating the bulk of the Pelicans' possessions and leaving fewer touches available for complementary options.

Jones started at power forward and turned in 18 points (7-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT) and five rebounds across 26 minutes in Saturday's 133-105 loss to the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
Jones entered the starting five for the fourth time this season, filling in for Anthony Davis, who was resting for the front end of a back-to-back set. Unsurprisingly, the absence of a high-usage player like Davis left plenty of touches open for everyone else in the lineup, and Jones was one of the biggest beneficiaries. With Davis expected to play Sunday against the Suns, Jones will presumably head back to the bench and should see a more limited offensive role with the second unit, though he won't necessarily sacrifice much playing time. He's averaging 24.6 minutes per game over his 23 appearances this season.

Jones started at power forward in Saturday's game against the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
Jones started the only other game Anthony Davis did not play in this season, and that was again the case Saturday with Davis being held out to rest. Jones will return to a bench role for the second end of the Pelicans' back-to-back set Sunday against the Suns.

Jones was held scoreless (0-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and collected two rebounds and two steals across 13 minutes in Sunday's 91-81 loss to the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
After seeing at least 20 minutes in each of the last 10 games and performing well in nearly all of those contests, it was surprising to see Jones get such limited run Sunday, especially with forward Dante Cunningham (leg) out of the picture. Game flow likely factored into Jones' limited workload, and while the forward's role figures to remain somewhat volatile while he remains with the second unit, he's still producing enough to warrant a roster spot in most deeper leagues. Jones is averaging 10.4 points (on 43.5% shooting), 4.4 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.0 steal over 23.0 minutes per game in his last five appearances.

Jones (illness) registered 17 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block across 24 minutes in Wednesday's 117-96 win over the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Jones shook off an illness to turn in strong outings in both halves of the Pelicans' back-to-back set, and is now averaging 16.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steal in 28.5 minutes per game over the last six contests. It doesn't appear that there's any serious momentum for Jones to land a regular spot in the starting five, but coach Alvin Gentry's willingness to play him alongside Anthony Davis should guarantee Jones a hefty workload off the bench. He's worth grabbing in most leagues where he's available while he remains hot.

Jones (illness) will play in Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves, Justin Verrier of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones was able to play through the lingering illness Tuesday and didn't appear to be phased at all, posting an impressive line of 17 points and six rebounds over 28 minutes. His availability Wednesday was fully expected considering he was listed as probable earlier in the day, so he'll again be available off the bench and doesn't appear to be on any sort of minutes restriction.

Jones (illness) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game against Minnesota, Justin Verrier of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones played through the illness Tuesday night against Atlanta and turned in a strong performance off the bench, finishing with 17 points and six rebounds in 28 minutes. While he still may not be 100 percent, Jones is trending toward being available for the second night of the back-to-back set as the Pelicans seek their fourth consecutive victory.
