HIbbert was active for the Bucks' previous game Saturday against the Pacers, but didn't see the court against his former team. With Khris Middleton returning to action Monday following a one-game absence due to rest, it looks like Hibbert, who has yet to play since being acquired from the Hornets on Feb. 2, will occupy one of the Bucks' two inactive slots in most games. He'll be a free agent this summer and the Bucks evidently don't view him as part of their future plans.

Bucks coach Jason Kidd said that Hibbert won't be available for Friday's game against the Nuggets and is likely to be a healthy inactive for Saturday's game against the Suns, Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Hibbert and fellow big man Spencer Hawes, who were both acquired Thursday from the Hornets in exchange for Plumlee, still need to pass their physicals and aren't expected to join the Bucks until Saturday, and it seems Kidd is reluctant to use either player before they have an opportunity to practice with the team. Even without the services of Hibbert and Hawes, the Bucks shouldn't be starved for depth at center with John Henson, Greg Monroe and Thon Maker still populating the depth chart. It may take several games for Kidd's center rotation to crystallize, but the existing depth along with Hibbert's declining performance in recent seasons and expiring contract could keep him out of the mix most nights.

Spencer Hawes will be in the fold as well, so it's hard to see Hibbert fielding consistent minutes. The situation should be monitored moving forward in order to see how the Bucks end up distributing the playing time.

Hibbert will come off the bench for Wednesday's matchup with the Warriors.

Hibbert has started the last four games in place of Cody Zeller (quad), and while we've yet to receive word on Zeller's availability, the Hornets have announced they're going to start Spencer Hawes at center Wednesday. Hawes was seeing the bulk of the minutes at center anyway, so Hibbert was already off the fantasy radar in all but the deepest of leagues. Once Zeller is back, Hibbert could see his role decline further.

Hibbert posted six points (2-3 FG, 2-2 FT) with four rebounds across 17 minutes in Wednesday's 113-103 loss against the Warriors.

EDGE Analysis

Hibbert was starting in place of the injured Cody Zeller (quadriceps), but Spencer Hawes ended up logging more minutes off the bench and posting way better statistics. If Zeller is forced to miss additional time, Hawes, not Hibbert, is the way to go as a short-term seasonal fantasy solution and DFS value play.
