Mayo agreed to a contract Thursday with a Chinese Basketball Association team, international basketball reporter Zhang Duo reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since being dismissed and disqualified from the NBA for at least two years in July 2016, Mayo has bounced around the international ranks, spending time with clubs in Puerto Rico, Taiwan and China. He'll now get an opportunity in China's top league, but the 32-year-old seems unlikely to resurface in the NBA again even though his suspension has now lapsed.

Mayo was released Puerto Rican team Atleticos de San German, Sportnado reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mayo started 18 of his 21 appearances with the team, though had his fair share of struggles, shooting just 39.0 percent from the field and 34.7 percent from beyond the arc. He also averaged 13.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals. At 30 years old, he's still young enough to theoretically make an NBA comeback, but his performance with Atleticos de San German doesn't suggest any team will want to take the risk.

Mayo has agreed to a contract with San German in Puerto Rico, Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mayo was "dismissed and disqualified" from the NBA in July of 2016 for violating the NBA/NBPA's Anti-Drug Program. Though he planned to appeal his two-year ban, that never came to fruition, so this summer will be the first time he's been eligible to sign an NBA deal. He'll presumably be using his time in Puerto Rico to get some run in before testing NBA waters once again. During his most recent NBA season in Milwaukee, the guard averaged 7.8 points, 2.9 assists and 2.6 rebounds across 26.6 minutes.

Mayo told TMZ Sports on Tuesday that he has already filed an appeal for his two-year suspension for a violation of the NBA and NBPA's Anti-Drug Program.
EDGE Analysis
The 28-year-old was "dismissed and disqualified" from the league in July due to the unspecified violation, and while he's able to continue his career overseas if he wishes, it appears Mayo isn't eager to wait two years to apply for reinstatement to the NBA. Mayo indicated in the TMZ video that he would soon explain his side of the story regarding the violation, but for now, his primary focus is on recovering from the season-ending fractured ankle he suffered in March. Even if Mayo is able to get his suspension reduced or wiped away entirely, it's doubtful that many NBA teams will be interested in bringing him aboard given his diminishing production and the baggage he carries. Mayo was unremarkable in his 41 games with the Bucks last season, averaging 7.8 points (on 37.1% shooting from the field), 2.9 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 1.2 three-pointers and 1.2 steals across 26.6 minutes per game.

Mayo was "dismissed and disqualified" from the NBA for violating the NBA/NBPA's Anti-Drug Program, Marc J. Spears of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
While the specifics of Mayo's violation are not known at this time, it will be two years before the 28-year-old shooting guard can appeal for reinstatement into the NBA. Once the top high school recruit in the country, Mayo has struggled mightily after a very promising start to his NBA career. Despite those struggles, Mayo likely would have had no issues finding a team this offseason given the lack of shooting guards in this free agent class, but now the former third overall pick will be out of work for at least two seasons.

Mayo has suffered a fracture in his leg and will miss the remainder of the season, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.
EDGE Analysis
There is a chance that Mayo receives surgery on the fractured leg later this week, but no specifics have been released. The 28-year-old suffered the injury sometime this week and will join Steve Novak and Michael Carter-Williams on the bench, as they have all suffered season-ending injuries in the past couple of weeks. Mayo ends his season averaging 7.8 points, 2.9 assists, 2.6 rebounds, 1.2 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 27 minutes per game during 41 games. He emerged as the starting point guard midway through the season due to injuries and lackluster play from Michael Carter-Williams and Jerryd Bayless. He is in the final year of his contract with Milwaukee.

Mayo will not play in Wednesday's game against the Heat due to illness.
EDGE Analysis
It was announced on Wednesday evening that Mayo was ill and would miss the game. It's unclear what exactly his illness is or how long it will effect him. He should be considered questionable for Saturday's game against the Pelicans. Jerryd Bayless will be getting the start in Mayo's place, and is likely in for a minutes increase while Mayo is out.

Mayo continued to start at point guard in Monday's 128-121 win over the Rockets, but was held scoreless (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) while providing two rebounds, one assist, and three turnovers across just 13 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Mayo looked to be in line for enhanced production after Michael Carter-Williams (knee) was made a late scratch, but the subsequent return of Jerryd Bayless (knee) ended up limiting Mayo's utility. Bayless ended up scoring 18 points while knocking down five three-pointers over 35 minutes, suggesting that he'll retain primacy in the rotation ahead of Mayo now that he's back to full health. Additionally, Mayo could lose out on even more court time once Carter-Williams is back in action, so there probably isn't much incentive to keep Mayo on many fantasy rosters at this point in the season.

Mayo had nine points (3-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and five steals in 38 minutes on Saturday in a win over the Hawks.
EDGE Analysis
Mayo is working his way back into playing shape after missing 11 games within January and February, but the 38 minutes he played on Saturday are a great sign for his fantasy production going forward. Bucks coach Jason Kidd seems to like having Mayo out on the court since he was averaging 30 minutes per game in the month of December, and there's a good chance he gets back to that same role. We may want to see another performance or two before adding Mayo to our season-long rosters.

Mayo will draw a second consecutive start at point guard Thursday against the Wizards, C.F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mayo will run with the starters again, while coach Jason Kidd continues to bring Michael Carter-Williams off the bench. Despite the designation as a starter Tuesday, Mayo saw just 18 minutes compared to 26 from Carter-Williams, so the move likely won't benefit Mayo's minutes as much as originally believed. It remains unclear how long Coach Kidd will go with this lineup, but it could be changed as soon as the All-Star break is over.
