Young has the flu and is questionable for Sunday's tilt against the Clippers.
EDGE Analysis
Young has started the past two games -- averaging 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assist across 26.5 minutes per game -- but his status for Sunday's game is in jeopardy due to the flu. If he's unable to go, coach Luke Walton may opt to start David Nwaba at the shooting guard slot.

Young finished with 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt) with three rebounds and two assists across 29 minutes in Friday's 107-103 loss against the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
Young made it back from a sprained left ring finger and the injury did not appear to affect his shooting, as he was solid from behind the arc. Despite the return, be careful with Young. Head coach Luke Walton has said he plans to mix and match lineups down the stretch while likely looking more at younger personnel. That doesn't bode well for Young's fantasy outlook for the remainder of the 2016-17 campaign.

Young is dealing with a sprained left ring finger, but is listed as probable for Friday's game against the Bucks, Mark Medina of Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Young returned to the starting lineup on Wednesday after logging a two-game stint off the bench, but went scoreless with three rebounds across 24 minutes. He reportedly sprained his left ring finger during the contest, but it isn't expected to hurt Young's chances of playing moving forward. Look for Young to be available against the Bucks, although considering coach Luke Walton mentioned he's going to try some new lineups over the last month of the season, Young isn't guaranteed to stick with the top unit for the rest of the 2016-17 campaign.

Young was scoreless (0-9 FG, 0-7 3Pt) with three rebounds over 24 minutes in Wednesday's 139-100 loss against the Rockets.
EDGE Analysis
Young looked a bit rusty after being a DNP-CD over the past two games as the Lakers get a look at their younger personnel. This isn't likely to buy him much in the way of playing time going forward, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him take another DNP-CD next time out against the Bucks on Friday.

Young will start at shooting guard for Wednesday's game against the Rockets, Mark Medina of Los Angeles Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Over the last two games, Young has ceded starting duties to David Nwaba. However, Nwaba has really struggled to be an asset with the starting five, so coach Luke Walton will turn back to Young as the team's top shooting guard. Young should see the bulk of the minutes at the position Wednesday, but considering the Lakers are in full tank mode, it wouldn't be surprising if they attempted to get their younger players more minutes as the last month of the season winds down.

Young (coach's decision) failed to see the floor in a 118-116 loss to the 76ers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
We've already seen coach Luke Walton exile Luol Deng and Timofey Mozgov from the rotation with the Lakers turning their attention toward 2017-18, and it looks like Young is the latest veteran to drop out of the mix. After starting in all 58 of his appearances prior to Sunday, Young was dropped to the bench in favor of rookie David Nwaba, who split the minutes at shooting guard with Jordan Clarkson and Tyler Ennis. The 20-46 Lakers have little incentive to give the 31-year-old meaningful run over the final month of the season, so it wouldn't be surprising if he remained out of the rotation for good.

Young will be moved to the bench indefinitely, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Luke Walton wants to see more of his young players in the starting five, and has opted to send Young to the bench to make that happen. Though coach Walton hasn't yet announced who will start for Sunday's tilt, it's possible that he'll switch up the starting lineup on a game to game basis. Young's minutes are worth monitoring moving forward.

Young submitted 19 points (7-12 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and one steal over 28 minutes in Sunday's 105-97 loss to the Pelicans.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran sharpshooter's production has been hard to trust lately, as he's tallied single-digit scoring totals in four of the last six games. However, he may starting to get back on track, as Young now has hit double digits in the scoring column in two of the last three contests. His three-point shooting has been key, as the 31-year-old has drained 44 percent of his 27 attempts from behind the arc over that stretch after going just 3-for-18 from downtown in the three games prior. Young's production is bound to fluctuate due to how scoring-reliant it tends to be, but he retains solid scoring upside as long as he's receiving starter's minutes.

Young supplied nine points (3-10 FG, 3-9 3Pt) and one steal across 16 minutes in a 115-95 loss to the Celtics on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
With only one double-digit scoring effort in his last five games, Young is in the midst of one of his bumpiest stretches of the season. Given that his fantasy production is almost purely dependent on scoring and three-pointers, Young is becoming an increasingly justifiable cut candidate for those who have been relying on him all season. His drop in production has been hastened by a decline in playing time, as he's exceeded 25 minutes in just one of those five contests. With the Lakers in rebuilding mode and looking to evaluate younger talent over the final month-plus of the season, it wouldn't be surprising if Young continued to surrender court time to the likes of Jordan Clarkson, Brandon Ingram and David Nwaba.

Young submitted 26 points (8-11 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four assists, two rebounds and two steals across 29 minutes in a 122-114 win over the Bucks on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Young was at the forefront of the Lakers' 47-point first quarter during which the team shot 82 percent from the floor, as he tallied 11 of those points. The shooting guard would go on to nail his first eight shots of the game, helping the Lakers to a 27-point lead before the Bucks' fourth-quarter surge made the final margin closer. While still somewhat of a streaky player, Young has generally been one of the team's more reliable scoring options lately, averaging 17.3 points over the last four games to go with 3.5 three-pointers, 3.0 boards, 1.8 assists and 1.5 steals.
